Foundation

Most commonly, I think of the foundation for a building and how we want a strong foundation for something which we are building. Then I think about the foundation for my life and have a strong sense that this has a lot to do with living by my own rules and being “true” to my Self, my sovereign self. And I think about core values and how my whole foundation for living well comes from learning to listen to my Heart.
Then I think of “founding”, and how I love to start things! I get these ideas and share them and then all of a sudden, something gets started. And what has to sustain them are the intentions I have. And that brings me right back to the heart of things. And the heart of things is what makes them strong and able to sustain through storms and challenges and then to shine brilliantly.
So, what is in your heart that helps make you strong enough to sustain through all the things? I’d really love to know!
Oh, one more thought: Do you use foundation when (if) you wear make-up? I do. I love how it smooths out my skin and lets me shine through. And I like to look good too. What does this have to do with the foundation of me? I have a feeling it has to do with self-love. What do you think?
And, okay, another thought: Now I’m thinking about the root chakra and how taking care of our survival needs is the job of the root chakra, which then holds the rest of us up. So, first we have to establish and found our selves in the physical world and then build our Selves from there. There’s no getting away from our physical bodies in this lifetime, right?! And that tells me that you can’t just build a foundation in any sense of the word, and then leave it alone. Our foundations and foundings require our constant care. They are the children of our Souls.
